Marilyn Janice Johnson

She was my Aunt, my friend, my god mother, my mother's sister and a heroic and amazing woman. On February 3rd, 2005 after a life full of love, loyalty and passion she was overcome by the devastatingly now “popular” disease called Cancer. In her true spirit, following a lengthy battle that she fought every step of the way, Marilyn was taken from us at the young age of 62. It was not fair…she was not supposed to die. Not yet…she had so many things she still aspired to do and see.

I wish I could have done more for Marilyn. But now is my chance to try and help others in the same situation. If we continue to raise awareness and raise money for Cancer Research we can help those that are living with cancer today and also help our kids tomorrow.

Marilyn was a mother of two (Laurel and Dean), a wife to Michael Johnson and grandmother to 5 young boys. She touched many lives, was a very special person in my life and Marilyn will be missed by all.
